On behalf of fully retained companies I am currently seeking sites/buildings which fall into the following categories.

By necessity this list is very broad brush and thus I would appreciate if you have any property that you feel may be suitable, that details are sent to me for consideration.

Off-market deals are preferred in all cases, and I can assure you that any information released, especially if of a confidential nature, will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Current Requirements
  • Retirement villages. These should be between 3-6 acres in size with up to 10 considered in exceptional location (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen etc).  Generally they should be semi-rural in character and close to main centres of population i.e. generally large towns but not necessarily.

Balgonie Estates, Kelso
  • Sites of 1-2 acres throughout Scotland for lodge type hotel development.  These should be close to major areas of population although smaller conurbations will be considered
  • Hotel sites for budget up to 4 star standard
Scottish Capital Group, Edinburgh
  • Existing shopping centres. Either town centre, edge of centre, neighbourhood centres or retail parks where active asset management can be applied either by restructuring or extension of the existing. All centres in Scotland (Aberdeen south) and the North of England (Manchester north) will be considered. Other geographical areas will be considered depending on size.
  • New retail development sites with a similar geographical spread as above. These can range from a single shop (high street) up to full centres.
  • Trade parks sites of 1.5 acres upwards. These must be on main arterial roads with easy vehicular access to large areas of older housing. New housing areas are generally not suitable. Sites with a high profile are required with good frontage to the main road.
Scottish Capital Group, Edinburgh
  • Generally not of interest at present unless with a substantial pre-let/pre-sale.
  • Investments of a single shop/offices etc up to full portfolios are required. Generally the smaller investments should be within the central belt of Scotland while the portfolios can be anywhere in the UK.
  • Sales and leasebacks. These can be anywhere in the UK and generally should be of a mixed nature rather than in one large single assett although depending on what it is this would be considered. We are also willing to consider re-locations on a purchase build and lease basis where the existing assett forms part of the consideration.


  • Petrol filling stations existing or sites. Anywhere within the UK. Portfolios of sites on a straight sale or sale and leaseback basis will be considered.
  • Nursing Homes. Sites of about 1.5 acres within the central belt of Scotland, but with a preference to the Lothians are sought. These should be in mainly A&B socio-economic areas although other areas will be considered. The sites should be ideally close to other amenities e.g. GP surgery, local shops etc and if possible close to good public transport.
  • GP surgeries. These should be about 1.5 acres and can be anywhere in Scotland or the North of England. Generally they need to be close to centres of population and on good public transport routes. They can be sited close to or be part of other developments e.g. neighbourhood centres, GP surgeries, new housing developments, nursing homes etc.
  • Strategic land Large tracts of land that may have potential for future development anywhere within the UK. Unless of a very high potential future value (generally town centre) these should be 10 acres plus.
  • Regeneration projects. Generally inner city sites which are of a mixed use.
